Thank you for your understanding.

Any guesses as to why only the PDF decryption tool and not the EPUB tool? Especially what with the actual break and all being extracting the key. Given the key and the unpublished V=3 PDF key-generation algorithm, PDF decryption is a simple matter of programming to a spec.

In any case, I'll be arranging a different way of hosting these tools.

Why didn't you torrent them in the first place? If you want to contact me, you can send me the files and I'll take care of it for you.

Nevermind, I've got it here for now: http://blog.lurkmore.com/technology/python/adobes-adept-drm-removal-code/

Hi i♥cabbages-
I'm a law student participating in a clinical program which seeks to provide free legal advice and services to tech entrepreneurs, new media startups, and people who create disruptive technology.
If you'd like to discuss any legal questions or issues you might encounter, please contact me (possibly by responding to this comment) and we'll try to work out some way for you to contact me without broadcasting either of our e-mail addresses & identities to the world.

Good Luck!

I understand why you might be bitter about having a drm take down notice. But this pales in comparison as to what is happening to bloggers that talk about the situation in mexico; martial law, plans of us to annex it.

Read this; http://chrysler5thavenue.blogspot.com/2009/03/breaking-news-usa-annexing-mexico.html

Then check it in 2 hours, it will probably be gone. Go censorship and media blackouts.

@kyrio I may be overly paranoid, but I'm attempting to prevent Adobe from discovering my identity. Bittorrent unfortunately provides no anonymity unless I e.g. seeded through TOR, which doesn't seem exactly brilliant. Other distribution channels such as freenet significantly limit accessibility. Anyway, still working on what I see as a viable solution.

@quietlyconfident I don't have any legal questions at this time, but thank for the offer, and feel free to contact me at i.u2665.cabbages@gmail.com.

Is there any public gateway to TOR hidden nodes?

kyrio said...

No, I meant give me the files to make the torrent. I've already grabbed your links (and the information contained within them), I'll probably make some RapidShares and torrents later, and link them off my post. My AIM username is the last bit of the URL attached to my posting name, for future reference.

i♥cabbages, I am paranoid also. I have just recently run into some problems with books, while other books from the same publisher are just fine. Any idea what could be going on?

The battle continues. Older PDF's that I d/l from my local library work fine with the scripts but a newer book, False Memory by Dean Koontz, won't decrypt for transfer to my PDA. I hope you're still in the fight, i♥cabbages, as I'm no thief, I just want to read my library's digital books on my Windoz Mobile PDA......

Any future work planned?
